Imago was created in 1997 as the result of a dream shared by Diego Lorenzini and Massimo Perrone. The same dream through from different backgrounds.Perrone acquired his experience in London, working for the prestigious cosmetics house of Helena Rubinstein. Lorenzini grew professionally in the family shirtmaking firm, "Camiceria Lorenzini". Sometime in the mid-Nineties, Lorenzini was contacted by agents of the U.S. market and persuaded to engage in a business of selection of Italian garments to distribute on the U.S. market.

This was the first step towards the creation of Imago. The experience acquired in this business was certainly fundamental for the development of the new company. The idea was to select and distribute designer garments in the opposite direction from the original import-export business. And so Imago was founded. Its mission from the very beginning was to import high range products to Europe.

Imago brings American style and fashion design to the most prestigious European boutiques, choosing garments that are representative of the tastes and trends in the U.S. The main reference market is made up of the countries of the European Union and Switzerland. A market that is still 'new' and in rapid expansion, to which Imago looks with interest, is Eastern Europe. The type of sales outlet on which Imago focuses is the multibrand boutique oriented to an offering of high range products, produced by prestigious trademarks in the sign of the quality of the materials and originality of the design.
