Yin Yu Tang is a late Qing dynasty merchant's house that was originally located in Huizhou in southeast China. Re-erected at the Peabody Essex Museum, Yin Yu Tang is now open to visitors. Yin Yu Tang was home to the Huang family for eight generations, with as many as three generation living in the house at one time. Over the 2 centuries that Huang family lived in the house.Yin Yu Tang is an outstanding example of the renowned Huizhou architecture, presenting such regional characteristics.
